Our long-awaited outing to Chocolate Factory has been hit by unforseen circumstances and axed... yet again!! T___T
I'm beginning to think Chocolate Factory is jinxed... Perhaps I should choose another venue the next time.

~~~
This will be the second last 'nostalgia trip' as I will be flying off to London on Sunday and will be back only on the 27th. So bear with me.
In this post I'll be talking about some of the most enjoyable and fulfilling experiences I've had in the past 4 years in NUS.
1. Making costumes during the summer vacation
If it wasn't for the Anime Club, I wouldn't have had the chance to try my hand at making cosplay costumes. After helping out in the making of both the Otousan costume in 2006 and the maid and host costumes in 2007, I'm afraid my sewing skills are still as lousy as they were before, but at least I know a little bit more about the mechanics of sewing, and more importantly, the sewing sessions were wonderful opportunities for me to spend more time with my committee friends, some of whom I have become much closer to because of the shared experience. I hardly knew YJ when I started out making the Otousan costume with him and Zhijia, Shilei and QH, but at the end of 3 months I had found out how he could make all of us double up with laughter with all the crappy things he said. All of us except Zhijia and Shilei were entirely inexperienced in sewing, but we had plenty of fun figuring things out (with lots of assistance from our respective mothers) and being crazy as only a bunch of anime fans know how to. I still have plenty of priceless photos of QH wearing a tutu and Gabriel wearing a maid costume. Perfect blackmail material >=)
Now that I will be playing a much less prominent role in the affairs of the club, I'll miss those lazy summer days when all of us would gather in Zhijia's house or mine, and talk rubbish over pieces of cloth and thread and attempt to sew straight lines with the sewing machine. ;___;
2. Making a short film
Thanks to the Singapore Film module, I had my first (and last) taste of making a short film. Together with Kevin, Sam, Peiqin and YJ, we tried to do many things and ended up with a C+ for our project =___=; But I'll never forget filming till 4am and then almost getting driven to JB by Peiqin because our road navigator Kevin had already alighted. And the famous shot of our albino janitor and Peiqin walking past each other down the AS1 corridor =)
Now I know how difficult artistic creation is. I shall henceforth stick to writing only books on books.
