the space between words

Exams are over and well, apart from completing my Masters application and thesis research proposal by this coming Thur, I can finally take some time to stop and think about what I've done and experienced over these 4 years.

I can hardly believe that 4 years of undergrad life have come to an end. I know it sounds cliched, but it really feels like it was just yesterday that I was a freshman, straining my neck up at the signboards trying to find classrooms, and sitting all by myself in 1101E lectures, seeing unfamiliar faces all around and hardly speaking a word to anyone throughout the whole day. And now I breeze into any lit class and it's "oh hello there it's you again!" As my senior Selene once said, lit classes are like Chinese reunion dinners (and Joan wonders why I know a lot of people).

So it's time for a little reflection (and nostalgia trip) before I move on to the next stage of my life. I actually planned this quite some time ago but forgot about it when the work started to pile on this sem - I'm going to write a series of short pieces on the most unforgettable moments and experiences of these past 4 years in NUS. I'll be starting with a post on my encounter with the Anime Club tomorrow =)
