the space between words

Saturday, November 24, 2007

It's now 12.30am on Saturday night, and my brain is going to shut down any moment.

But I'm incredibly happy today. Firstly, because I've received the long-awaited letter from the Lit department telling me which HT topic I got and which supervisor I got assigned to.

When I read the letter, I was so happy that I kept screaming mentally and then physically for a few seconds. All I could think of during those few seconds was, "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!" I don't usually lose my head like that, so you can tell I was really, really overjoyed. I managed to get my first choice "Modernist Literature" and guess who is my supervisor? Well, no prizes for guessing right if you know me well enough by now.

The second reason why I'm happy today is that I've finally completed my Asia Moderns term paper. FINALLY! I've been at it for months, and now that I've typed out the bibliography, the amount of reading I did shocks even myself. But I'm pretty satisfied with the paper, although as usual I think it's not a great paper, and we'll just leave Dr R to decide for herself. I've got no energy to do anything about it for now.

So I'm going off to bed now. I've still got lots of stuff to study tomorrow. Good luck to all of you who are currently mugging for exams (You too, Xing - stop watching anime at night and go sleep earlier!)
