The Anime Bazaar has finally come to an end. Although we encountered many problems along the way, we've managed to pull through, thanks to our very capable QH who almost single-handedly organised the whole affair, and our core group of committed committee members.
Good job, guys!
And now, after hours of complicated packing-up and protracted wrangling over where we should eat our late night dinner/celebration, I'm finally home and I'm exhausted. I slept for only 4 hours last night rushing to complete the Tagore novel before the Asia Moderns seminar this afternoon, and the day before I was also rushing to finish the Spivak article "Can the Subaltern Speak?" (which is indeed a very pertinent issue for the Asia Moderns module as hardly anyone speaks up in class) and the long Mansfield stories and Woolf's "The Unwritten Novel", which Dr JN didn't even go through in class in the end... >__<
So effectively, I'm been doing the necessary readings up to the eleventh hour for the whole of this week. I thought I would be able to get back to a more measured pace of reading next week but Dr TR dropped a bomb on us during the Asia Moderns seminar and now I have 2 longish essays and a student-led discussion all due on 20th September. It seems I can't even enjoy my 22nd birthday this weekend... ;__;
