So many things have been happening and I simply haven't been able to find the time to blog about them, so blog updates have been piling up.
Well, I must as well get started now. I've just spent an entire afternoon flooding the society's mailing list with naggy emails reminding people to do what they need to get done and I'm sure half of the recipients aren't even reading these emails and revising the society's Constitution and planning for the leadership succession and wondering why I do all this when not more than a handful of people even bother to vote for their new committee leaders. But hey I chose to do this out of my own free will and I like to believe I have a measure of agency in deciding what I want to do with my own life so there you go I'm still a bit of a liberal humanist at heart after all.
This huge chunk of stream-of-consciousness-style rambling basically means I'm not in the mood to go into extended descriptions and analyses of what I've done since Sunday. Therefore, you guys will have to make do with cryptic shorthand and pictures. Which is actually a good thing come to think of it because as the proverb goes a picture speaks a thousand words and hey don't people like to look at pictures more than they like to read lengthy walls of text like this one?
July 15 (Sun)
Afternoon: went to cosfest 2007 @ dowtown east. met club alumni and comm there. wore new vk clothes bought in japan. sis cosplayed as mana. yijiang said she looked scary.
July 16 (Mon)
Afternoon: dad drove sis and i to anime chalet @ aloha loyang. played citadel and won.
Evening: steamboat cooker initiated self-destruction just before dinner. had to resort to cooking with gas stove. attempt to cook curry rice with steamboat ingredients not v successful. but kudos to chef QH for pulling us thru.
Night: marathoned the big o and iriya no sora. most ppl left at arnd 2200. left few of us behind. victor falling asleep constantly during marathon. finished iriya at 0400. braindead. victor drove home with dvd player in unknown state.
July 17 (Tue)
Morning: everyone ate potato chips and happy turn for breakfast. checked out of chalet.
July 19 (Thur)
Afternoon: went to ps to shop at spotlight and daiso. bought a new make-up case.
Evening: watched paprika at the picturehouse with comm. felt it was quite freudian but @ pres moment too tired to give review of film.
Night: went to arcade with comm. played para para for 1st time. failed to pass the stage.
And now it's almost dinner time and I haven't uploaded the photos yet. So I'm afraid you guys have to wait a little longer for the promised pictures. Make do with words, words, words for the time being.
