the space between words

It's now the reading week for NUS students, and all of us (I think) are hitting the books. I'm afraid to say I haven't gotten really far with my studying, and my first exam's on the 23rd... >_<

I managed to catch Tsai Ming Liang's latest film I Don't Want to Sleep Alone on Monday with Kevin. It was a pretty good film with the distinctive characteristics of Tsai's films, including the water motif which I am still trying to figure out the significance of. The film was more bizarre but also more heartwarming (though in a quiet, contemplative way) than the other film by Tsai that I have watched, Goodbye Dragon Inn, and it was much easier to sit through as well. I Don't Want to Sleep Alone was definitely well worth the $6 ticket (in fact, I think it was worth more)and I look forward to watching the rest of the films in Tsai's oeuvre (did I spell that right?).

After watching the film, Kevin and I took a cab back to school and I went back to my roots, putting up Animax posters around Arts. And that's about all the interesting things I have done in the past few days.

Will be back after the exams end on the May 2nd!
