It's 3.07am and the online Graphite meeting has just ended. And I believed that it would only last an hour or so. Who was I kidding?

I'm feeling all woozy and exhausted and yet high at the same time. I know this lack of sleep is so going to kill me tomorrow but right now I can't be bothered to get up and go to bed. I'm becoming Beckettian in my hesitation to act, haha. Ok, I should not insult Beckett anymore with all these grossly inappropriate allusions.

Today was a day that brought a good measure of happiness. As I was going for Tragedy tutorial this morning, I met Dr Y. He said, "Hello, Wai Yee" and I said, "Hello, Dr Y." Then we stood smiling silently at each other for a few seconds (I know that sounds weird). Then all of a sudden, he said, "I knew Dr SA was there." I was lost for a moment as to what he was talking about, but then I figured out that he was carrying on the conversation we were having through email correspondence 2 weeks ago as if we were just talking about it yesterday! Haha, his weirdness never fails to surprise me. And his sheer niceness never fails to win me over. And our partings were just as awkward as ever too, haha. ^^;

I was also very much cheered up by the crazy icon-warfare that was going on while the committee and I were discussing Graphite online just now. The discussion was really lengthy and all of us were tired and I think the exhaustion got to our heads. But it was fun to see JM and ZR and Yijiang battling it out with various icons of blinking aliens, yellow blobs bashing each other and stick figures dropping dead. You don't get this kind of madness outside the otaku community.

The only problem with today is that Derrida is screwing with my brain. Or maybe it isn't Derrida but my prof's commentary on Derrida that is screwing with my brain. And then there's the horrific prospect of the presentation on the Masculine/Feminine binary and Deconstruction in "The Domain of Arnheim" next Tue. O__O

I wish I had the "cute" Tragedy tutor's brains. Sigh...
