I've had an eventful week.
On Mon, I met Joan at Munchie Monkey's for a farewell lunch. She'll be jetting off for Loudborough in the UK in Feb, so I won't be able to see her for a while. ;___;
But we definitely had lots of fun talking about all sorts of things under the sun, ranging from boyfriends (well, technically, she was talking in the particular and me in the general because I do not have a boyfriend and am not intending to have one anytime soon), Freudian interpretations of dreams and of course, the lecturers in the Eng Lit department! ^^
Then I had a very good time watching Hitchcock's Psycho with Kevin! The film was really scary, especially at the end when Norman Bates/mother destabilized the psychiatrist's smug, clear-cut interpretation of Norman's schizophrenic condition with his/mother's internal monologue and creepy sinister smile...
Then the NUS Anime Club had our second-hand manga collection from Wed to Fri at the Arts AS1 walkway. It was so windy there, especially on Wed, that our noticeboard kept falling down and my History lecture notes kept flying away. And I ate very spicy "liang mian" from the pushcart downstairs till I was tearing away. ;____;
Then yesterday, I met Dr Y after my Tragedy tutorial and committed yet another social blunder. He asked me very nicely where I had just come from, and of all things, I pointed in the general direction of the AS5 Video Rm and said, "Over there." How stupid is that? He was obviously asking me whether I had come from a tutorial or something and I gave a literal reply like that... >___<
His awkwardness is rubbing off on me...
But he's so nice as usual. ^____^
Next week, the club is holding our second-hand manga resale outside LT6 in Engin. It's not a very good place for selling stuff 'cos only Engin people walk by that area, but if you've got time, do come and visit our booth. We've got cheap manga for sale! (^-^)/
