Today's the last day of the semester for me! HURRAY! I feel like a heavy burden has been lifted off my shoulders. Japanese oral test over, essays all finished, Japanese term test done! The Japanese tests were all bad experiences, so off they go, as Roger has recommended, into that corner of my Unconscious which is labelled "DO NOT EVER TOUCH AGAIN."
Today PY and I commemorated the closing down of the Arts Canteen by sitting in the canteen chatting from 3pm to 5pm ('cos Feminism class ended much earlier than expected). I ate fishballs and PY ate some kueh called "the colourful one". And we talked about lots of things, including Dr Y (hey, no conversation between lit students is ever complete without him), 36/02 and our two dear Mr Tans, Curren's sandwiches, KR's bright pink pants, how, in PY's words, "relationships are bleh and guys are bleh and we should all just bleh and be happy", and what modules we want to take next sem. It's been a long time since I have been able to chat at length with PY like that, and it felt good to be sitting in a corner seat and talking and enjoying the breeze and the view from the Arts Canteen for the last time.
Good bye Arts Canteen and hello precooked food in the carpark.
